How it works: The model takes each team's runs-per-game and runs-allowed-per-game from the regular season and the league average, then projects each matchup's expected runs using ER(A) = (RPG_A × RAPG_B) / League_RPG. Single-game win probability uses the Pythagorean of those projected runs (exponent 1.83). Series probability is computed from the current state plus single-game odds, and championship odds chain those across every bracket path. 10-game sample sizes are small — treat these as informed guesses, not destiny. The #5 Tigers proved exactly that: a .300 regular season, then five straight playoff wins — knocking out the #4 Dodgers, the #1 TCU Horned Frogs, and the #3 Colt 45's — to win the 2026 Pee Wee AL championship.
